My Hot Stones Therapy Massage at Nougat Spa in Notting Hill

One of my favourite products at the moment from the Nougat Indulgent Body Collection is the Shea Butter Body Silk, it literally feels like silk gliding onto the body, the smell is beautiful and combines a mixture of finest ingredients including Tuberose and Jasmine. I absolutely love using this product everyday on my skin and I was so looking forward to enjoying my hot stones therapy massage.

The Nougat Spa is situated in one of London’s trendiest areas of Notting Hill and as soon as you set foot inside this luxurious spa its tranquil environment immediately gets to work by relaxing your mind.

My therapist led downstairs to her treatment room and this is where I would relax for the next 40 minutes; the entire spa décor oozed a fresh vintage boudoir feel, which I felt very comfortable in.

I’d had numerous traditional massages but had always wanted to try the hot stones therapy and I was intrigued to find out what all the fuss was about. I felt this treatment would be perfect to help boost my circulation and release the stored tension in my shoulders and lower back. I had an idea of what the treatment would be like but it was nothing like what I had expected - it was so much better!

My back was scrubbed and brushed to discard dry skin, which made my skin feel smooth all over. A traditional method of hand strokes was used first and then cleverly the hot stones were introduced to form part of the massage - I found myself being massaged with the hot stones! Because the stones were so hot they enable your body to fall into a deeper state of relaxation and the therapist can focus on working out the tissues using both stone and hand strokes. After my back, neck and shoulder treatment had finished I felt totally recharged, my whole body felt alive.

Girls you’re going to love this, it’s a fabulous treatment and would make the perfect Christmas present. In my book a girl can never have enough pampering, whatever time of year it is - boyfriends and partners take note please. However, if you don’t receive this treatment in your stocking then why not treat yourself in the New Year so that you feel recharged and ready to face 2009.
